Darra Conveyor Automation

In 2020 Sunfresh Linen Darra installed a new conveyor system purchased via Jensen, but the conveyors purchased were for hardware only, so MAP got involved to drive and automate the conveyors.

The conveyors consisted of 4 sections controlled by 4 motors. Laundry would be dropped from a bag above and travel to the end conveyor where it would then be sent one of two different directions.

MAP assembled a control cabinet to facilitate the full control of this system, including 4 Omron drives, PLC and HMI, with Category 3 safety. All programming of both PLC and HMI was handled by MAP to give Sunfresh a customised interface and control that suits their workflow.
