Pneumatic to Stepper Motor Upgrade

In 2019 MAP Electrics completed a project to upgrade a Pnumatic drive to a Stepper Motor. The Pnumatic drive was used to feed foil off a spool and the amount fed will be cut and used as pull tabs on the lid of a clients product. The issue our client was having was the tabs lengths were very inconsistent. the Pneumatic Drive didn’t give them the accuracy that was required.

So MAP designed a system that could replicate what was already installed with a stepper motor to allow the accuracy required. 

This was a great success and our client ordered another system shortly after to upgrade another machine.
